As we are crawling out of polar vortices (and before the grammar police arrive, I’d like to state that the plural of “vortex” is listed as both “vortexes” and “vortices” in several dictionaries, so breathe easily and read on), I think we are all anxious for the first signs of spring to arrive. Is it too early to talk about that? It may be for those of you up north, but here in southern Virginia, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we start seeing birds returning from their sojourn down south and tender crocus buds pushing their way through the soil. Until then, here are some things to keep your mind off of counting the days until spring.
